Oahu Tour Follows Early Childhood of Barack Obama

Quoting Michelle Obama in that "To understand Barack, you need to understand Hawaii," Guides of Oahu is offering an island tour of Diamond Head and the Ko’olau Mountains that traces the footsteps of Obama's early years in Hawaii.

Through the stories of childhood friends, teachers, and coaches, travelers will learn how growing up in Hawaii influenced who Barack Obama is today. Participants will see where he and his family lived, the places where he went to school, where he hung out with friends and went to work at his first job. The tour includes stops in downtown Honolulu, Chinatown, and a visit to Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, where Barack Obama’s grandparents are buried.

Pricing begins at $49 per adult and $39 per child (12 years or younger). The price includes roundtrip transportation from selected Waikiki Hotels, a 2.5-hour tour, and state tax.
