Owners of Waikiki Edition Sue Marriott and Ian Schrager

Big news from Hawaii: The Wall Street Journal and other sources are reporting that the owners of the Waikiki Edition, which opened to much fanfare in October, are suing both Marriott International and Ian Schrager himself,  claiming that the company has failed to make the hip boutique new hotel brand a success.

The suit, which was filed in New York Supreme Court by M Waikiki LLC, reportedly claims that Schrager, Marriott's partner on the Edition hotel brand, has been uninvolved in the project. The suit also seeks unspecified financial damages.
