Pearl Harbor Sites Offer Two-Day Access to SitesDecember 7, 2011 By: Jena Tesse Fox
As the nation pauses today to remember the day that will live in infamy from 70 years ago, a partnership of Pearl Harbor memorials and museums has launched a new, two-day ticket option that will help visitors fully experience several distinct historic sites connected to the attack.
Currently available exclusively at the Pearl Harbor Visitors Center ticket window, the “Passport to Pearl Harbor” provides two-day access to all primary Pearl Harbor historic sites—a $115 value—for $65 per adult and $35 per child. Passport holders can return to Pearl Harbor within seven days of their initial visit at no additional charge. A photo ID must be presented with the non-transferrable voucher.
“Beginning with the date of infamy and the sinking of the USS Arizona and USS Oklahoma, Pearl Harbor takes visitors on a comprehensive journey through World War II,” said Michael Carr, president and chief operating officer of the Battleship Missouri Memorial, which opened in 1999 in the Harbor. “This experience now includes the perspectives of Allied submariners at the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum, naval aviators at the Pacific Aviation Museum, and those of both warring sides who witnessed the restoration of peace aboard the Battleship Missouri.”
The Passport to Pearl Harbor includes:
• The Official Pearl Harbor Audio Tour;
• USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park museum admission and submarine audio tour;
• Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor admission; and
• Battleship Missouri Memorial admission and the choice between four tours.
Upgraded tour options at the Battleship Missouri Memorial and Pacific Aviation Museum are available for an additional fee.
