Star of Honolulu Guarantees Whale Sightings

December 15, 2010 By: Jena Tesse Fox

The Star of Honolulu's new Early Bird Whale Watch gives guests the opportunity to spot whales at an affordable price. As a bonus, sightings are guaranteed and children are admitted free (one per paid adult). Offered daily from December 15 through May 8, 2011, the cruise sails from 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
The 1,500-passenger A.D.A.-compliant Star of Honolulu departs from Aloha Tower Marketplace and cruises beyond Diamond Head to give passengers the most opportunities to view whales and their newborn calves. The ship has a 60-foot-high observation deck, four walk-around decks and three types of stabilizers. Cruise-goers can also learn about Humpback whales from the trained crew of naturalists, and snacks and drinks available for purchase onboard. Whale sightings are guaranteed: If whales are not spotted, a free return cruise voucher is issued.
Suggested retail prices are $29.95 for adults and $18 for children (ages 3-11). Transportation from the Waikiki area is available for an additional $11 per person.
