The Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Resort in Honolulu, Oahu, is offering a golf package this spring with the Ewa Beach Golf Club.
The tropical resort skirts the Waikiki beach, a popular tourist destination along the south side of Oahu. The street level of the hotel is a Macy's department store, and nearby is the Royal Hawaiian Center, an enormous shopping mall owned by the Kamehameha Schools where all profits going to the education of Hawaiian students. Also nearby is an International Market Place, DFS (duty free shopping), and Duke’s Waikiki, a beach experience with seasonal activities, food, and entertainment.
The Ewa Beach Golf Club is a 45 minute drive from the resort, taking guests past Pearl Harbor and the Ewa plain. The course is designed by award winning Robin Nelson, crafted in reminiscence of traditional Scottish links. It is the only course on the island to feature two double greens, on the second and 16th holes.
The hotel-golf package starts at $295 per night for single or double occupancy, and includes one round of golf per room per day. There’s no minimum length of stay, but a five-day-advance purchase is required prior to arrival. Transportation to and from the golf club is not included in the package but can be arranged through the hotel’s concierge.
