Regent Seven Seas Cruises has introduced a new entertainment concept Voyager and Mariner: "Dinner and a Show", which looks to recapture a time when couples went out and enjoyed an intimate meal, which was then followed by an entertaining show.

The evening will consist of a meal in one of the line's alternative dining venues; afterwards, guests will fill into a lounge for a cabaret-style performance. The concepts already receiving high marks on its world cruise, Regent says.

"We are adding an extra layer to our regular entertainment on these longer voyages," said Michael Day, senior director of entertainment for Regent Seven Seas Cruises. "We wanted to create a truly memorable night that includes a very special menu and some of today’s great cabaret performers from around the world."

Performances so far have been from Broadway’s Tony award-winning show "Forbidden Broadway," and Key West & Palm Beach's society singer/pianist Bobby Nesbitt and Friends performing their show "The Lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein." Future entertainers scheduled are: Broadway star KT Sullivan; Australian award-winning singer Rhonda Burchmore; New York cabaret star Jeff Hamar; actress and singing star Susan Anton; and "Tango e Tango."
