HAL Executive Named Seabourn's SVP of Sales and Marketing

Last week we reported about the big changes at Carnival Corp. — namely Seabourn's move to Seattle and the appointment of Richard Meadows as president, replacing Pamela Conover. Now comes news that John Delaney, who has served as vice president, revenue marketing, for Holland America Line since 2008, has been appointed to the position of senior vice president, marketing and sales for Seabourn, reporting directly to Meadows.

"John has had a very positive impact on Holland America Line’s revenue management and marketing efforts during the time he has held that position, and I am certain that he will bring this same success to his new position," said Meadows. "We look for John to make a great contribution to Seabourn and his strong leadership abilities will help guide the transition to Seattle."

Prior to his Holland America position, Delaney spent five years assigned to special projects for Carnival, including a variety of Holland America Line initiatives. His projects focused on financial and operational analysis in a wide array of areas including marketing, sales channel performance, procurement and logistics.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the travel and hospitality industries, Delaney has worked at a number of major corporations, including The Walt Disney Company, Gateway Computers and The Cheesecake Factory.
