Silversea Makes Sales, Marketing Changes

Silversea has announced sales and marketing changes, which it hopes will bolster relationships with both travel agents and customers. 

Steve Tucker has been promoted from director to vice president of national accounts and eastern regional sales. He will report directly to Marilyn Conroy, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas. Tucker will be responsible for maintaining key retailer relationships and expanding the national accounts program. Tucker, who is a certified travel counselor, has been with Silversea for over six years and is well known with the agent community.

In another move, Joseph Proto has been named to the new position of director of Venetian Society, the line's worldwide past-guest loyalty club. He will also be responsible for overseeing the onboard cruise consultants and spearheading programs to strengthen the company's customer focus. Proto will report to both Marilyn Conroy and Barbara Biffi, Silversea's vice president of worldwide strategic marketing.

"These moves will be instrumental in optimizing our relationship with travel agents and our loyal guests," said Conroy.
