VIA Rail Canada and Royal Jordanian are partnering up to enable travelers to book rail and air services together when they travel to Canada.
RJ signed an agreement with VIA Rail Canada, Canada’s rail passenger service, whereby RJ may sell train tickets to its passengers wishing to continue their travel beyond the RJ destination in Montreal, Canada to Toronto and Ottawa.
RJ is now VIA Rail Canada’s first code-share partner. According to the agreement, when an RJ passenger purchases an airline ticket from RJ, Royal Jordanian issues a ticket that holds one code for both air and rail transportation.

The frequency and travel times of VIA's trains between Montreal and Toronto, and Montreal and Ottawa extend the quality of services and comfort experienced by RJ passengers to and from Amman. Through such partnerships, RJ aims at giving more convenient travel options to its passengers,” said RJ President/CEO, Amer Hadidi.

The code-share ticket may be purchased through the internet booking engine at www.rj.com or from any RJ sales offices and travel agents around the world.
