Karin Sheppard, COO for Australasia, Japan, Korea & Franchise, IHG, said, "Holiday Inn Express is our fastest growing brand globally so it's great to see it launching in new markets across the region. Papua New Guinea is a unique market and it's an important step to now have three of our great brands, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, available to guests in the city.

"The first Holiday Inn Express hotel in Southeast Asia launched in 2012 and since then, we've already grown to a total of 12 hotels across Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. We're looking forward to the launch of the brand in Australia next year too," she said.
