Turks and Caicos Isn't Afraid of Passport Restrictions

THE BAHAMAS–Turks and Caicos Islands hosted a media luncheon at the 29th annual Caribbean Tourism Conference. Lindsey Musgrove, director of tourism, told attendees, including Travel Agent, he doesn't expect upcoming passport requirements to the Caribbean to affect tourism from the U.S. significantly. Musgrove says 70 percent of tourists come from the U.S, 12 percent come from Canada, 11 percent come from Europe and seven percent come from the rest of the world. Half of the tourists who visited from the U.S already have their passports, Musgrove says.
