Agents Honored at Cruise Holidays’ Annual Convention

Cruise Holidays bestowed its top annual honor, the 2008 Franchisee of the Year award, on Jeff and Sharon Duncan of Cruise Holidays of Newtown, PA. The award recognizes the agency that has contributed the most to the Cruise Holidays network over the past year. The Duncans were honored during the 2008 Cruise Holidays Annual Convention being held aboard Norwegian Cruise LinesNorwegian Pearl, October 19-26.

“[Jeff and Sharon's] store is a model of efficiency that not only translates into business success but also into extremely satisfied customers who value the expertise and service provided by their team,” said Peter D. Thomson, vice president and COO of Cruise Holidays.

In addition to being named Franchisee of the Year, Cruise Holidays of Newtown was also honored as a Cruise Holidays President’s Circle member. The President’s Circle is comprised of the top 20 performing Cruise Holidays stores based on criteria that recognizes both business performance and engagement in the Cruise Holidays system. Jeff was also recognized as one of the network’s top three individual sales agents for Cruise Holidays of Vancouver.

Cruise Holidays, part of the Travel Acquisitions Group (TAG), also presented its 2008 Top Producing Store award to Denis Lim and Blaine Lambert of Cruise Holidays of Vancouver.  For the third straight year, they have earned the award that is given the store with the highest sales revenue during the previous year, from July to June.

“[Denis and Blaine] have developed a business model that incorporates the cutting-edge technology and personal service excellence to continue growing their business in uncertain economic times,” said Thomson. “Their willingness to share their expertise has significantly contributed to the continued growth and development of the Cruise Holidays franchise network."

Cruise Holidays also presented its 2008 New Store of the Year award to Mike and Gloria Currie of Cruise Holidays of Southlake, TX.  The New Store of the Year award exemplifies the most successful start-up store in the entire system based on dollar volume and participation in Cruise Holidays programs and technology.

“The Curries have an exceptionally organized approach to business and they carefully monitor and control expenses which is critical for success, particularly for start-up businesses,” said Thomson. Gloria was also recognized as a recipient of the Outstanding Sales Achievement Award for her exceptional efforts in meeting customer needs and Cruise Holidays of Southlake was honored with the Operational Excellence Award.

Cruise Holidays also presented its 2008 New Store of the Year award to Carolyn Hendricks of Cruise Holidays at Tradition (Port St. Lucie, FL). “Carolyn’s success in building a new Cruise Holidays store is due, in large part, to the cruise expertise and experiences she had already gained from previous years within the cruise industry,” said Thomson.
