The ultimate goal of the campaign is to raise $70,000 for the American Cancer Society by Tuesday, October 31st, in celebration of the casino-resort’s 70th anniversary. The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a grassroots voluntary health organization with over 2 million members, the efforts of which go towards cancer prevention awareness in the forms of less smoking, better treatments and earlier detection. The American Cancer Society also works towards finding a cure in the nation’s largest, not-for-profit cancer research centers and provides health care and screenings for patients.

A number of Las Vegas resort executives have partaken in the challenge thus far, including Flamingo Las Vegas regional president Eileen Moore and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino regional president David Hoenemeyer. A number of celebrities, performers and entertainment groups have also completed the challenge on their Instagrams; among them are Celine Dion, Marie Osmond, Piff the Magic Dragon, Legends in Concert, X Burlesque, Murray Sawchuck, Crazy Girls, The Miss Behave Gameshow and country stars John Rich and Runaway June.
