CLIA Announces Tom Fecke Will Assume Europe Secretary General Position

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced that Tom Fecke will officially take over the role of secretary general, CLIA Europe on January 3, 2017. He will be responsible for managing and implementing new global programs in the company’s European region.

Fecke began his career as a travel agent, and has held various management positions with Galileo/TravelPort, Avis Rent-a-Car, and RCL Cruises, where he led the German, Austrian, and Swiss markets for Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Azamara Club Cruises.

He holds a degree as master of business administration.

Most recently, Fecke served as managing director of the Travel Industry Club, the leading business club in Germany and Austria, where he was responsible for connecting key decision makers and managing networking events across the leisure and business travel communities.

Raphael Von Heereman who has been with CLIA since February 2015, will be transitioning out of his role as secretary general, CLIA Europe early next year.
