Joystar Grows at Rapid Pace

Joystar, Inc., says it added 202 travel agents to its network in the month of May—the company's biggest month of 2006 in terms of membership. The year-to-date total is 838 new travel agents. Joystar says it is signing agents at a rate of 2,400 per year—a 50 percent increase in growth rate, according to William M. Alverson, the Joystar CEO. In addition, this year, every agent has joined one of Joystar's fee-based memberships, says Alverson. The company signed agreements with new travel agent members representing more than $25 million annually in complex travel sales in the first 10 weeks of the year. In the quarter ended March 31, 2006, gross bookings increased to $18,036,630 up 1,306 percent year-over-year and 187 percent sequentially from the prior quarter, according to Alverson.
