San Juan Hotel Undergoes $2.5 Million Renovation, Looks to Become Destination’s Entertainment Mecca

With a $2.5 million renovation well underway, the San Juan Water and Beach Club Hotel is looking to become Puerto Rico’s nightlife entertainment mecca with music designed by international DJs, lively parties and celebrity stopovers.

Located on the exclusive corner of famous Isla Verde beach, the hotel takes its cues from the sapphire-blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and incorporates them into its chic décor.

Enhancing the guest experience, new creative touches include the “Tu Deseo” (My Wish List) wish board mounted in each guest room. From extra towels, a sunrise aqua yoga session, to local fruit with their room service breakfast, “Tu Deseo” will allow guests to express themselves and make their stay more enjoyable. A boutique gym and ocean front business center round out the offerings.

According to the new General Manager, José Torres, “The Water Club has all the right stuff to take the Metropolitan Area’s luxury boutique hotel experience to the next level and we’re having just as much fun with our new concept as our guests are.”

Renowned as the hot spot for local residents and tourists, Mist offers comfortable seating areas for rooftop relaxation, swimming pool, signature cocktails and an Island-Italian-Spanish-fusion menu featuring Socializers—small plates you can share—prepared with fresh, locally grown ingredients.

The new restaurant Zest, located on the ground floor, welcomes clients with a unique subaquatic atmosphere and a modern experiential cuisine menu featuring sustainability-sourced ingredients, each dish infused with a unique scent meant to stimulate every sense.

The hotel has 80 guest rooms, including impressive suites with ocean front views, partial ocean views, and city views. Plush beds dominate the space, with new pillow-top king sized mattresses made up with pristine, high-thread-count linens.
