Best Watering Holes in Brisbane
July 19, 2011 By: Jena Tesse Fox
From August 20-26, more than 60 local and international designers will strut their stuff in Queensland’s capital for the sixth annual Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane.
While the official after-parties will take place at Fashion Bar at the Cascade Court, QPAC, Qantas has very helpfully recommended some hotspots where locals in the know are likely to be drinking in style:
UpTown
23 Logan Road, Woolloongabba.
In this 1950s style gin-joint, guests can get a Sazerac, a Mint Julep or a Brandy Alexander among many other greats. An intimate venue for a classic drink.

Sky Room
2/234 Wickham Street, Fortitude Valley.
This rooftop tiki bar lets guests imbibe under the stars.

Granada
154 Melbourne Street, Brisbane.
Located two blocks from the fashion tents at South Brisbane, Granada is an authentic tapas bar with an impressive wine list.

Woodland
Coniston Lane, Fortitude Valley.
Woodland is like an American sports bar, with plenty of indie music for getting your dance on.
