Passengers Stranded in Eurotunnel Train

Eurotunnel train with carThe Belfast Telegraph and other sources are reporting that approximately 20 Eurotunnel passengers traveled to France and back again without being able to get off their shuttle train.

The passengers, going through the Channel Tunnel from Folkestone to Calais, were in seven vehicles which were loaded behind a wagon that had been left empty after an earlier fuel spill.

The passengers, who had originally left Folkestone at 8:50 a.m. last Saturday, were given a refund and also a free crossing in the future.
