On May 24, 2013, the Jersey Shore will open the doors of its new Margaritaville complex at Resort Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. The $35-million Margaritaville casino and entertainment complex features a Margaritaville restaurant; the LandShark Bar & Grill; a Margaritaville themed casino, which will include 12 Margaritaville-themed table games and 160 slot machines; the Five O'clock Somewhere bar; a retail store; and Margaritaville’s first-ever coffee shop. The restaurant and casino are set on the landside of the Boardwalk, while the LandShark Bar & Grill is directly on the beach.
The Margaritaville Restaurant is expected to seat 448 guests. It will feature a stage for nightly live entertainment, a tiki bar, an outdoor deck, and Buffett-inspired decorations. Margaritaville will offer its signature Cheeseburger in Paradise, as well as island-inspired dishes like Jamaica Mistaica Wings, Coconut Shrimp and Key Lime Pie.
At the site of the Old Steeplechase Pier, the beachfront LandShark Bar & Grill will seat approximately 370 guests, and will be the only year-round full-service bar and restaurant on the sand side of the Boardwalk. LandShark Bar & Grill will feature surfing artifacts as decorations, retractable walls and daily entertainment. The Bar and Grill will be serving up summer inspired cuisine including fresh boiled shrimp, hamburgers and foot long hotdogs, fish tacos, and LandShark beer. Adjacent to LandShark Bar & Grill, Resorts Casino Hotel will also provide beach chair and umbrella service on the beach.
