New India River Vessel Is Getting Final Touches

A new river vessel is readying for service on the Brahmaputra River in India, according to the Web site ETravelBlackBoardAsia.com. The site says the Mahabaahu has completed river trials and is now being readied for sailing in northeastern India.

The vessel has 26 cabins, including two suites and nine superior cabins with balconies. Guests can expect to enjoy satellite TV, a personal safe, mini-bar, satellite telephones and spacious bathrooms.

ETravelBlackBoardAsia.com reports that the vessel's onboard activities will include cultural programs by local tribal dancers and guest lecturers, a library, Internet cafe and onboard pool.
