New Ships, More Wine Cruises for AmaWaterways in 2016

wineAmaWaterways' 2016 sailings are now open for booking.

The 2016 lineup includes two new ships, 34 wine-themed sailings, an inaugural Taste of Bordeaux itinerary and five new voyages designed exclusively for art enthusiasts.

The new, 158-passenger sister ships, AmaViola and AmaStella, will offer the line’s new connecting staterooms, as well as larger suites, twin balcony staterooms, heated swimming pools, hair salons, fitness rooms and more.

In terms of itineraries, in 2016 the line will double its number of special wine sailings. There will be 34 special wine sailings, including the new Taste of Bordeaux itinerary. This seven-night voyage will travel France's Bordeaux region, with stops along the Garonne and Dordogne rivers.

2016 will also mark the debut of five art cruises that will allow travelers to explore the artistic heritage of Northern France while creating their own works of art. The art-themed cruises offer tours along with painting workshops led by an expert art instructor, highlighting the landscapes that once inspired artists such as Renoir, Monet and Gauguin.

2016 will also see AmaWaterways add itineraries in Southeast Asia and Africa.

AmaWaterways' 2016 brochure will arrive in mailboxes later this month. For an e-brochure, visit www.amawaterways.com/brochures/preview-2016
