Pandaw to Roll Out Onboard Enhancements for 2016

November 30, 2015 By: Newswire

Pandaw River Expeditions has announced a series of new enhancements to its onboard product in Burma, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and China for 2016.

New Suite Staterooms on Pandaw II and Mekong Pandaw

New for 2016 Pandaw has altered the configuration of the staterooms on the front section of the upper deck of the Pandaw 2 and the Mekong Pandaw to create a series of new suites.

At over 360 square feet they are the largest-ever staterooms on a Pandaw vessel and will have a private balcony and a spacious lounge area with a sofa plus double or twin bed and private bathroom. A range of enhanced in-room amenities include minibar and Espresso machine as well as a basket of fruit on arrival. Guests booking a suite also get complimentary house wine with lunch and dinner.

The suites will be available on departures aboard the Mekong Pandaw from July 2016 and from October 2016 on the Pandaw 2. Prices start from $4,245 per person twin share in high season cruise only for a suite on the Mekong Pandaw’s seven-night Classic Mekong cruise.

Mountain Bikes on All Pandaw Ships

Guests will also be able to hire a "Giant" branded mountain bike on any Pandaw owned ship in Burma and Indochina for the first time.

Available from December 2015, at each river stop, the Pandaw crew will advise guests on the best routes to follow and if required a member of the crew will accompany the guests.

Bikes on board are bookable on Pandaw's website for $25 per bike per cruise.

Private Dining and Family-Friendly Cruises

Pandaw is also now offering passengers the chance to book private dining at now extra cost via its website.

For families, the line is offering for the first time a special program of family-friendly cruises based on school holiday departures.

Departing on either July 30, 2016, or December 24, 2016, on the Burma-Mandalay Pagan Packet itinerary, a seven-night cruise costs from $1,535 per person, cruise only.

The seven-night Classic Mekong itinerary, departing August 6, 2016, costs from $1,560 per person main deck twin share.

All these itineraries include a special program of shore excursions, with ‘challenges’ to undertake and cycling tours of the local area as a family or with a group. Meals have also been designed for children and teenagers in mind. Children can also try an on board cooking lesson, chill out with movie nights and enjoy other family-friendly onboard activities.

Children aged under four years old travel free if sleeping in a cot and sharing a stateroom with two adults. Children aged between four and 18 years sharing a stateroom with two adults receive a 50 percent reduction on the adult price.
