Air France KLM, Travelport GDS Sign Global Deal

Travel agents will be the beneficiaries of a new agreement between Travelport GDS and Air France KLM, who jointly announced a new, multi-year global distribution agreement which will see full content provided to all Galileo and Worldspan-connected users worldwide until March 2013.

“We are delighted to have reached this agreement with Air France KLM and can guarantee full content to all of our travel agency customers for the next four years.” said Matthew Hall, Travelport GDS’ vice president of airline development for Europe, Middle East and Africa.  “The length of this new agreement, and the fact that it guarantees full content globally, will really give our travel agency customers a competitive edge. It is a further illustration of our ability to work with our airline partners and reach a situation that is beneficial to all those involved in the travel booking chain – the airline, ourselves, the travel agency customers, and, of course, the end traveler.”

Henri Hourcade, vice president corporate and distribution Air France KLM commented: ”Travelport GDS, with its Galileo and Worldspan systems, is an important distribution partner for the sale of Air France and KLM flights and we are looking forward to working closely together over the coming years."

The long-term agreement, which takes immediate effect, represents a continuation of Travelport GDS’ strategy of securing full content programs across the globe.
