Allianz Global Assistance has named Karen Burke and Sara Moran to its sales team. Burke will serve as district director for Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, and Moran will act as district director for New York and New Jersey.
Both Burke and Moran are veteran sales professionals with extensive experience in the travel industry, Allianz said.
The districts the two new district directors now support are growing rapidly in terms of sales of travel and travel insurance, said Jeff Schafer, regional sales director at Allianz Global Assistance USA.
Burke and Moran are responsible for maintaining and growing existing customer accounts and improving account sales and retention. Their focus is on retail travel agencies and wholesale channels.
Allianz Global Assistance USA insures 21 million customers annually, with its best-known product being the Allianz Travel Insurance plans. In addition to travel insurance, Allianz Global Assistance USA offers tuition insurance, event ticket protection, registration protection for endurance events and travel assistance services such as international medical assistance and concierge services.
