ARC Reinstates Miscellaneous Fees

In response to last week’s Independent Arbitration Panel (IAP) decision disapproving its proposed 2008 Agent Administrative Fees, the Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) said it would reinstate certain, miscellaneous fees. This includes fees for items such as applications for bank account changes, training, changes of ownership and relocations. The changes are effective immediately.

ARC President and CEO David Collins said, “ARC’s decision to eliminate most of its miscellaneous fees was predicated upon the approval of the new 2008 fee structure. Since the IAP decision rolls back that structure, we will reinstate these fees. While we understand this may be inconvenient to agents requiring these services, we need to ensure that costs are recovered.”

ARC will not seek any retroactive fees for applications and other services provided since January 1, 2008 but will begin charging for any new applications effective immediately, ARC said.
