Egan to Helm Certified Vacations

Certified Vacations Group, which operates Continental Airlines Vacations, Delta Vacations and Future Vacations, on Monday announced a restructuring of its management team. Company Founder and Chairman Michael Egan will now serve as CEO, replacing Celeste Allen, who has moved to a consulting role for the company. Additionally, Herb Edelberg, former owner of Direct Travel in New York, has been named COO, a newly created position at Certified Vacations Group. "Despite wars and hurricanes, 9/11, an ever-growing list of new competitors and other factors, Certified has remained financially sound and retained its reputation in the industry under Celeste's leadership," Egan said. "The company is firmly positioned for growth, and I'm looking forward to working closely with Herb to achieve our goals."
