Ensemble Members "Think Differently" After Corporate Retreat

Ensemble Travel Group said it drew "a large, enthusiastic crowd" for the organization's second annual Ensemble Executive Retreat for U.S. members. Themed around "Ignite Your Insight," the retreat was conducted April 17-21 at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in Santa Ana Pueblo, NM.

Founded in 1968, Ensemble Travel Group is a proactive, member-owned international organization of approximately 850 professional travel agencies in the U.S. and Canada.

Driving much enthusiasm for the retreat was the opportunity for attendees to hear results from a comprehensive study commissioned by Ensemble Travel Group.

Conducted by Peter Sheahan and his team from ChangeLabs, this proprietary research and subsequent best practices analysis were gleaned from a cross section of Ensemble members, their clients and Ensemble partners.

“Over the course of the retreat, members really rallied around the theme – ‘Ignite your Insight’ – and started looking at their business in a totally new light,” said Joe Jiffo, Ensemble's vice president, business development.

“The focus was on learning from each other and working together, meeting challenges head on, and then developing solutions and seeing them through to the end," said Jiffo. "All of this was guided by the exclusive research conducted by Peter Sheahan and his staff.”

The retreat’s four intense business sessions, facilitated by ChangeLabs’ Peter Gossin, were designed to help members gain insight into improving their sales performance and elevating their overall value to current and future customers.A 92-page Learning Guide supported the interactive workshops.

The retreat program also allowed time for members to meet one-on-one with participating preferred suppliers and with Ensemble Marketing personnel for customized recommendations on upcoming promotions and campaigns.

Sheahan is the keynote speaker at the 2013 Ensemble Travel Group International Conference this fall at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO.

While at that conference, he and Gossin will build upon the Executive Retreat presentations, conducting several other sessions to help Ensemble members learn strategies and techniques to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.

The second annual Executive Retreat was sponsored by 22 Ensemble preferred partners. Visit  www.joinensemble.com.
