Globus Announces First Symposium for Home-Based Agents

On Tuesday, September 11, Globus will hold its first full-day workshop aimed at helping home-based agents grow their business. Held at the Sheraton Suites in Elk Grove, IL, just outside of Chicago, the event will include meals and feature workshops, panels and presentations. The day ends with a trade show reception that includes both agents and several suppliers, which in addition to Globus, include Celebrity/Azamara Cruise Lines, VIA Rail, the Canadian Tourism Commission, French Government Tourism and Hong Kong Tourism. "Globus has always recognized what an important role the supplier plays in educating the home-based agent," Kathleen Kavanagh, Globus' manager of home-based sales and training, said in a statement. "This workshop will provide home-based agents with information they can use immediately to prospect new clients, grow their tour and cruise business and streamline their marketing efforts." There is a $20 fee to attend and pre-registration is required as space is limited. Visit [www.globusathome.com/symposium].
