Homeland Security Expands E-Passport Reader Network

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Thursday reported that it had installed and activated e-passport readers at additional airports, including Honolulu International Airport on Oahu and Kona International Airport on the Big Island. Installation of these readers began last month at San Francisco International Airport, and the process is continuing as the government works to meet an October 26 deadline at U.S. ports of entry.
