Mount Nelson Hotel Appoints General Manager

Andrew Cook has been appointed as general manager of the Mount Nelson Hotel, an Orient-Express property in Cape Town, South Africa. Cook has been on staff at the hotel since 1998. Appointed initially as rooms division manager, he was then promoted to executive assistant manager in 2000, and to hotel manager in 2005, a position that he has held until now.

Cook will be responsible for all daily operations of the Mount Nelson Hotel allowing managing director Nick Seewer to focus on domestic and international sales and marketing, future projects and the Orient-Express Africa portfolio which includes the Mount Nelson, The Westcliff Hotel in Johannesburg and the luxury camps of Orient-Express Safaris in northern Botswana.
