Nexion Reports Fourth Month of Increased Bookings With SNAP!

travel agentNexion, a host travel agency, announced the fourth straight month of increased bookings using its SNAP! (Simple Nexion Air Program) booking tool for air, car, hotel and rail reservations. Bookings made via SNAP! increased 53 percent in April compared to the same month a year ago.

In addition, Nexion members using the tool are averaging more than $20 per ticket in commissions since the official launch of SNAP! in September 2011.

The program is backed by a support desk that helps manage bookings from beginning to end. The team will answer any questions about airline bookings to ensure the client is taken care of in a timely manner with accurate information.

“It’s no surprise SNAP! has become such a successful program for us," said Robbi Hamida, vice president air and corporate programs for Nexion. "We find more and more of our agents want a non-GDS solution, and SNAP! is so easy to use that it has quickly been adopted by agents across the board – whether they’re among our core group of highly-experienced travel professionals or they’re new to the industry."

He said SNAP! is particularly attractive to long-time travel agency industry veterans who understand the importance of delivering an end-to-end travel solution to their clients.

One Nexion agent, Sue Hagen, president of Avant Garde Travel in Eden Prairie, MN, has been using SNAP! since it first came out. "I work with corporate clients and book air, car, and hotel reservations and I also take care of my clients’ leisure travel needs," said Hagen. "Before using SNAP!, I used to spend hours and hours going to different airline sites to try to find the best pricing and routing options, and searching supplier websites for car and hotel reservations."

With SNAP!, Hagen said she is able to see all of the suppliers listed with pricing, routing and more in one place, and it’s easy to compare and get the best options for her clients; she also appreciates the support staff's assistance.
