Uniworld Grand River Cruises has named Travel Corporation Canada veteran Guy Young its new chief executive officer. "We are delighted to have Guy onboard with us," says Tom Russell, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Uniworld. "His...demonstrated commitment to the travel agent distribution channel will help position Uniworld for future growth and success." Meanwhile the river-cruising company also announced plans to expand its presence in Egypt—instituting two new tours down the Nile for the 2007 touring season. The new tours, titled "Splendors of Egypt" (13 days, $2,820, air included) and "Jewels of the Nile" (12 days, $3,099, air included) represent the Uniworld's second and third itineraries in Egypt. The operator entered the market there in 2006.
