Uniworld, a river-cruise and tour operator, tapped cruise industry veteran Tom Russell as senior vice president, sales and marketing. Russell's arrival precedes the launch of the company's newest ship, River Royal, this year. Russell previously was the vice president of marketing and sales for Windstar Cruises, and most recently led Holland America Line's international sales efforts. In the past, he served as president and CEO of Society Expeditions, and over the years has held posts with Cruise West, Costa Cruises, Princess Cruises and Sitmar Cruises. He was also one of the founding managers of Silversea Cruises.
