Nevis Resort Offers New Restaurant, Children’s Program

March 25, 2010 By: Joe Pike

Travel Agent sat down with representatives of the Montpelier Plantation and got the skinny on the Nevis resort’s new restaurant and children’s program.

Indigo, Montpelier’s new restaurant, opened at the end of last year and offers an extensive list of wines by the glass and tapas-style dishes. The newly opened Demo Kitchen, which was designed for Indigo, offers guests the chance to learn and experience some of the techniques and flavors of Nevisian cooking from Montpelier chefs.

Also new for the 2010 season, the resort recently launched a new program for children. Children over the age of eight can learn how to make their own pizza, take nature hikes to explore the ruins of Nevis, swim with turtles and try their hand at making pottery with natural clay from the island, among many other activities. The program is $50 per day and includes lunch, snacks and an early dinner.
