St. Kitts Welcomes Its First Hyatt Property

September 24, 2009 By: Meagan Drillinger

Travelers to St. Kitts will have something exciting to look forward to in the coming years with the opening of Cockleshell Bay, a new development which will include a Park Hyatt resort and spa with luxury residences and hillside estates.

The $860 million complex is a result of an agreement between the St. Michael's Foundation, Ltd. and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. The Park Hyatt St. Kitts will be the island's first five-star resort and the only Park Hyatt in the Caribbean.

In addition to 125 rooms and a luxury spa, the resort will feature 100 residential townhouses and condominiums and 86 estate villas. Guests can also enjoy the marina, a casino and a variety of restaurants.

The development is expected to be completed by 2013.
