Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino in Saint Maarten has announced Armando Pizzuti will be the property’s new general manager, effective immediately.
Pizzuti brings more than 30 years of experience in hotel and restaurant management in the United States, Italy and Caribbean islands, including Jamaica and Antigua.
Pizzuti served in high-ranking positions for major hotel chains in Montego Bay, Jamaica and Antigua. Notably towards the beginning of his career, he pre-opened and operated a $5 million Italian restaurant at Walt Disney’s Grand Floridian Beach Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Pizzuti began his career in 1980 as a maitre’ d for A Touch of Italy in Andover, Kansas. He attended Kansas University studying business administration and graduated with an associate degree in hotel and restaurant management.
