Former Giants running back Tiki Barber and actor Dominic Chianese were joined by leading New York elected officials and tourism professionals to announce the launch of the Big Apple Greeter “Celebrity Greeter for a Day” program.

The “Celebrity Greeter for a Day” program will pair prominent New Yorkers with visitors to the city. Barber and Chianese will show tourists their favorite New York haunts on a personalized walking tour.

Big Apple Greeter’s core program is its free-of-charge Greeter program which connects visitors with New Yorkers of all ages, conversant in over 20 languages. Greeters, who are all volunteers, accompany visitors on two- to four- hour informal visits to New York City’s neighborhoods in all five boroughs.
