singapore airlinesSingapore Airlines has announced that it will launch new nonstop service from San Francisco to Singapore October 23.

The new service marks SIA’s U.S. introduction of the A350-900 aircraft. The company will launch additional nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Singapore and New York to Singapore in 2018. At 8,451 miles, the new SFO-SIN service will rank among the world’s longest flights, Singapore Airlines said.

SIA is also growing at LAX: From October 2016, SIA will expand to offer two daily flights from Los Angeles to Singapore, with the addition of a daily LAX-Seoul-Singapore route to complement the existing, daily LAX-Tokyo-Singapore operations.

All SIA flights from Los Angeles will use Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and will offer passengers SIA’s newest, next-generation cabin product in Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class cabins, as well as an updated First Class designed by L.A.-based BMW Designworks.
