How Colorado Ski Resorts Are Looking to Lure Millennials This Season

barbershop at four seasons vailHave a Millennial client looking to hit the slopes this ski season? Whether they are a beginner or an expert, Travel Agent has pulled together a few buzz worthy tips to share. 

Four Seasons Resort & Residences Vail

For a guys’ getaway, the Four Seasons in Vail has a unique offering this season: a new barbershop offering grooming packages and bourbon- and beer-themed cuts, shaves and treatments. The resort developed the concept to attract a larger male audience to its spa, and, according to a spokesperson Travel Agent spoke with, it’s paying off: the spa saw a 75 percent jump in male guests after introducing the barbershop. 

Also new this season are “Pocket Meals,” a new on-the-go dining option that allows guests to fill out a menu the night before skiing, and then get items like Pocket Bacon, Pedro’s Burrito, or a Mini Bagel with Lox delivered to them by the ski concierge for a snack on the slopes. 

As for the actual skiing, this season the Four Seasons is offering Dawn Patrol Skiing, which allows guests to meet in the lobby before dawn, hit the slopes to watch the sun rise, and then return to the hotel for breakfast. 


Viceroy Snowmass

For the wellness enthusiast, ski-in / ski-out spa treatments are returning to the Viceroy Snowmass this season after making their debut last year. At 30 minutes or less, the treatments are designed to let guests stop in, get reinvigorated, and head back out to finish the day skiing or snowboarding.

Also available: a “ski elixir” is served in the lobby at the end of the day, aimed at helping guests to refresh their electrolytes and other nutrients after a day of physical activity. Plus, the resort is offering a program that packs guests a box with a homemade food item from the property’s chef, already prepped to go through airport security. 


Park Hyatt Beaver Creek

In Beaver Creek, the Park Hyatt is rolling out an après ski “recovery lounge” in the lobby and bar area that offers various recovery-themed items: Boost Oxygen cans, electrolyte-infused waters and more. Guests can also make an in-room I.V. appointment with a medical professional if they need a deeper altitude adjustment. 

For added recovery, the Allegria Spa’s professional stylists are offering après spa blow-out and makeup treatments, 15-minute hair blow-outs and make-up applications aimed at battling helmet hair and helping guests look their best at the bar. The resort’s wellness butler can also provide suggestions on the right spa treatments for specific muscle or skin needs.
