Mammoth Mountain Open for (Free) Business

October 16, 2009 By: Kirk Cassels

Mammoth Mountain is opening the slopes today after a snowstorm recently dropped more than two feet of snow in the Eastern Sierra moutnains.

To celebrate the second-earliest opening day ever for Mammoth, skiers and snowboarders can ride the 16-24 inches of machine groomed natural snow for free.

“We are so excited to start the season nearly four weeks ahead of schedule and to be able to reward our guests with a free day on the slopes,” said Howard Pickett, CEO of Mammoth Mountain.
Mammoth is also offering First Tracks lift and lodging packages for as low as $99 per person per night based on double occupancy. Call 800-Mammoth or visit to book.
