Report: European Ski Hotel Prices Fall

January 12, 2012 By: Adam Leposa

The Trivago Hotel Price Indicator, released January 10, reveals a fall in European ski hotel prices, News Republic reports.

Trivago calculated that the cheapest place to ski this winter is in Predeal, Romania (€55 per night), while the most expensive was in St. Moritz, Switzerland (€422 per night).

Outside ski areas, cities across Europe have seen a fall in room rates, including London (down 15 percent to €162), Copenhagen (down 13 percent to €129) and Barcelona (down seven percent to €96).

At the same time, unusually favorable exchange rates mean U.S. travelers pay even less at these destinations.
