Vermont's 14 ski resorts have all announced their opening dates for the 2014-2015 season.  

Killington Resort was the first to open to the Killington Pass Holders on November 3rd and the general public was admitted entrance on November 4th. The North Ridge area is designed for advanced skiers and snowboarders and the Peak Lodge has food and mountain vistas. For more information, visit www.killington.com

Okemo Mountain Resort is set to open on November 15th and will include a new six-pack bubble chairlift with heated seats. For more information, visit www.okemo.com

Stowe Mountain Resort is scheduled to open on November 22nd and has completed their ongoing 3 year project which provides nearly 20 miles of new snowmaking pipe and also where Mount Mansfield is located, Vermont’s highest peak. For more informaiton, visit www.stowemountainlodge.com

Sugarbush Resort is also set to open on November 22nd for Lincoln Peak and December 19th for Mt. Ellen.  It has new upgrades that should provide more terrain earlier in the season. For more information, visit www.sugarbush.com

Mount Snow Resort is planning to open on or before November 26th when it will be celebrating its 60th anniversary season.  It has installed a new snow making control system called SmartSnow, the same system used in Sochi, Russia for the 2014 Winter Olympics.  For more information, visit www.mountsnow.com

Stratton Mountain Resort is scheduled to open on November 26th which includes opening weekend events such as the Thanksgiving Day Gobble Wobble 5k, Allman Brothers tribute band, Stratton Village holiday shopping, and more. For more information, visit www.stratton.com

Bromley Mountain is set to open on November 28th with 78 new HKD tower guns, Snowmaking Energy Index, and Intelli-flow Controller which helps manage compressed air. For more information, visit www.bromley.com

Smugglers’ Notch Resort is scheduled to open November 28th which features an intermediate terrain and more than 400 high efficiency guns. For more information, visit www.smuggs.com

Jay Peak Resort is set to open on November 29th and includes over 50 miles of ski trails and 78 different trails, slopes, and glades as well as   feautures an indoor water park. For more information, visit www.jaypeakresort.com

Bolton Valley is planning to open its doors on December 13th, which receives more than 300 inches of snow on average per year in addition to an expansion of snowmaking efforts on Beach Seal and Hard Luck. For more information, visit www.boltonvalley.com

Mad River Glen is anticipated to open during the weekend of December 13th but with only 15 percent of its snow being produced by snowmakers, the date is flexible. For more information, visit www.madriverglen.com

Pico Mountain is scheduled to open on December 13th and is currently offering season passes, student passes, and early season ticket packs. In support with Pico’s local community, opening day will consist of the traditional United Way Day, an annual tradition.  For more information, click here

Suicide Six is targeting to open on December 19th and they have removed 80 percent of their old snow guns and replaced them with new efficiency ones, allowing 50 percent more snowmaking.  They’ve also open two new terrain parks, a beginner-friendly and more advanced park.
