At the annual Tourism Indaba conference in Durban this morning, South African Airways (SAA) awarded top travel agents who have made a significant contribution to the airline’s revenue growth and South Africa’s tourism industry in general.
“Travel agents are a critical part of our business and play a significant role in the airline’s growth,” said Theunis Potgieter, SAA's general manager commercial. “It is thus only fitting that, on an annual basis, SAA recognizes and celebrates the contribution made by travel agents.”
Nominees were chosen from the international regions in which SAA operates. The winners were:
South Africa:

Southern Africa:
· Voyagers Travel – Ndola, Kitwe, Lusaka, Chingola (Zambia)
USA and Canada
· Lion World Travel – Toronto (Canada)
South America
· Queensberry Viagens - São Paulo (Brazil)
Continental Europe
· Meier’s Weltreisen - Frankfurt (Germany)
East Africa and Middle East
· DNTA – Dubai (United Arab Emirates)
North, West & Central Africa
· Tour Brokers International – Lagos (Nigeria)
· Stellar Travel – Accra (Ghana)
