MoaiThe United Kingdom has recently announced increased efforts to make the South Pacific Ocean’s Pitcairn Archipelago, the world’s largest near-pristine ocean habitat, into a fully protected marine reserve.

Travelers who wish to experience the ecosystem can do so on Lindblad Expedition’s Tahiti to Easter Island: Tales of the Pacific voyage in partnership with National Geographic.
