In celebration of the United States Soccer Team's qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Cartan Tours is selling travel packages from the U.S. to South Africa in June and July of next year. Because of the growing popularity of soccer in the United States, packages are expected to go quickly, and travelers are encouraged to book far in advance.
In preparation for the first ever World Cup hosted on the continent of Africa, stadiums in the area are being renovated, roads are being repaved, and a new train system is being built. Several packages are currently available through Cartan Tours in Cape Town and Johannesburg, with hotels in the area graded as Standard, Superior, and Deluxe, and priced accordingly. In addition to their on-site concierge service, Cartan Tours offers assistance in sightseeing, safaris, and wine tasting tours in the area.
Currently, travel packages start at $1,995 per person plus airfare. Each package includes one World Cup ticket per person for Team USA. Additional matches can be requested for packages reserved prior to the draw on December 4. For this event, Cartan is working in association with the SportsMark Management Group to coordinate match tickets, food and beverage, and hospitality venues close to the stadium.
