Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina Offers New Spa Treatment

scrub island resort, spa and marinaIn the recently released State of Spa Travel report from SpaFinder Wellness, the Caribbean and Mexico were listed as the top global spa travel destination in 2012, unseating North America from the top position.

To celebrate this new designation, Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina in the British Virgin Islands has added a new Caribbean Dream treatment to the menu services at their luxurious Ixora Spa.

The Caribbean Dream is an organic, homemade Caribbean treatment including a refreshing coconut and rosemary body scrub, a nourishing shea butter body wrap and a 30-minute milk and honey facial with soothing lavender flowers. The 90-minute Caribbean Dream treatment is available throughout the month of April and starts at $200.

“Ixora Spa uses only local and organic ingredients in our spa services, such as basil and rosemary grown in a nearby garden, and aloe and Neem, a tree native to Scrub and Beef Island, both harvested from undeveloped areas of the island,” said Emily Lancaster, Ixora Spa director, in a written release. “A visit to Ixora Spa lets guests literally soak in the natural gifts of the islands.”

Named for the native tropical Ixora shrub, the Ixora Spa is perched on a hillside overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea, offering a haven to relax, refresh and re-energize.

After a treatment featuring antioxidant rich products crafted with natural botanicals and anti-aging formulations, Ixora Spa guests can relax at the spa’s infinity pool overlooking the Caribbean and their very own private resort in the British Virgin Islands.
