Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced that Alison Taylor, a 25-year Starwood veteran who has most recently led sales and revenue management in Asia Pacific, has been appointed senior vice president of Starwood’s sales organization.
Taylor replaces Christie Hicks, who has stepped down.
In her new role Taylor will be responsible for setting Starwood’s business-to-business sales strategy and leading its sales team around the world. She will relocate to the company's Stamford, CT, headquarters.
Taylor joined ITT Sheraton 27 years ago and has worked in six countries across Asia-Pacific. She also spent two years working for Le Méridien in Indonesia prior to Starwood’s acquisition of the brand. Originally from Australia, educated in London, Alison earned her Business Degree in Hotel Management and Marketing from Victoria University, Melbourne.
