Aman Group, the holding company for Amanresorts, recently made the announcement. Johan Eliasch will take over as chairman while Vladislav Doronin, a real-estate developer and the lead investor, has been appointed CEO.

In the official press release, Doronin said, "The Aman Group's philosophy is to immerse guests in a unique and personal experience. We intend to preserve the spirit of Aman while growing the brand through future strategic development opportunities including exotic locations for which the brand is well-known as well as into major metropolitan destinations.”

When Zecha launched the first property Amanpuri on the island of Phuket in 1988, he pioneered a new style of ultra-luxe boutique resort, each unique, minimalist, and boasting remote, natural settings. Over the years, the group has won a devoted following of Amanjunkies. Today there are 26 luxury resorts in 18 countries including Bhutan, Greece, Montenegro, Morocco, and the US.
