EL AL Israel Airlines has announced the appointment of Michal Ben Yacov as the airline's West Coast Regional Manager covering California, Arizona, Alaska, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Wyoming and Utah.
Ben Yacov is responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts on the EL AL West Coast route, which offers the only nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Ben Gurion International Airports.
Based in Los Angeles, Ben Yacov works with the travel industry and local community on the route, which includes up to five nonstop weekly flights.
Ben Yacov has been with EL AL since 1988 and has served in a variety of positions, most recently as the revenue manager for transatlantic routes. In years prior, Ben Yacov worked in IT technologies and as manager of commercial company relations in the airline’s customer service and sales division.
Originally from Tel Aviv, Ben Yacov earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the College of Management in Ramat Gan, Israel as well as a masters in political science and mass communications from Bar Ilan University. Her undergraduate degree is from Tel Aviv University. Ben Yacov is fluent in Hebrew and English.
