The crippled Carnival Triumph, pushed, pulled and prodded by four tug boats on Thursday night, finally docked at the Alabama Cruise Terminal in Mobile, around 9:15 p.m. Guests began debarking an hour or so later, and the entire process took four hours to complete.

The Port of Mobile hasn't been a year-round cruise departure point for Carnival Cruise Lines for some time, but when passengers and crew onboard the stricken ship disembark at the Alabama Cruise Terminal on Thursday, the port says it's ready to help.

The compensation is in addition to a full refund of the cruise fare, transportation expenses (including flights not arranged through Carnival), and shipboard purchases (excluding the gift shop and casino).
